USA: Lexus launches 2WD version of hybrid SUV (just-auto)
Lexus has added a front-wheel drive (FWD) version of its to the hybrid RX 400h SUV model line it sells in the United States. The all-wheel drive (AWD) model has been on sale in the US since last April and was also launched in Europe a few months ago.
Lexus launches FWD RX400h hybrid (Autoblog)
The FWD-only version of the Lexus gas/electric hybrid was announced today, along with new pricing for the existing AWD version, launched earlier this year. The FWD RX400h has a combined system output of 268 hp, a 0-60 time of 7.5 seconds and a combined EPA fuel-economy rating of 30 mpg (33 city/28 highway). Both AWD and FWD versions carry EPA Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle certification.

Lexus announced today the addition of a front-wheel drive RX 400h in addition to the all-wheel drive model which has been on sale since April of this year, making the hybrid gas/electric version of America's most popular luxury SUV, the RX 330, now available in both drivetrain configurations.
